Jordan District Retirement Benefits
Jordan District Post-Retirement Benefits are outlined in District Policy 373, which can be accessed using the web link: http://www.jordandistrict.org/policymanual/p.php?id=210
Please note in this policy that you need to five at least a 30-day written notice to Human Resources before retiring in order to avoid a $500 penalty.
You can estimate your District retirement benefit by using the calculator at www.jordandistrict.org/calculator
If you are eligible to retire later this year, you can take the District Retirement Seminar. You will be eligible to retire from the State System if you have:
25 years in at any age.
20 years at age 60.
10 years at age 62.
4 years at age 65.
You will be given an estimate of your District retirement benefit (affected by GASB Plan C last spring) at this seminar as well as information from the State Retirement System. Call Payroll at 567-8211 to enroll.
