Michelle Chavez,
a
special education teacher at Foothills Elementary, has been
selected for the annual “Outstanding Cooperating Teacher
Award” given through the department of Counseling Psychology
and Special Education (CPSE) at Brigham Young University.
This award is given to teachers who convey a positive
attitude and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping
teacher candidates in the Special Education program acquire
the skills necessary to become effective special educators.
As part of this recognition, Chavez will have her name
engraved on the award plaque in the CPSE department office
at BYU. |
The South Jordan Chamber of Commerce
recently presented an award to:
Welby Elementary's, Susan Enrico,
as the school’s Teacher of the Year .
Oquirrh Hills Middle teacher
Kathi Byerline
was named Biology Teacher of the Year by the Utah Science.
